What’s up, my Greats!
Let me say this straight: not everyone who sounds wise is worth listening to.
Some people talk smooth. Some people look successful. Some people know how to say the right things at the right time. But if you’re building something real—your business, your life, your legacy—you don’t have time to follow voices that don’t produce results.
Jesus didn’t mince words here:
“By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?”
Translation? Stop judging by appearances. Start judging by outcomes.
Talk Is Cheap. Fruit Is the Evidence.
In the world of entrepreneurship, everybody has a strategy. Everybody has a system. Everybody claims they’ve cracked the code. But words don’t build empires—results do.
Fruit shows up as:
Consistency over time
Integrity when pressure hits
Results that don’t collapse under stress
Growth that’s sustainable, not flashy
If the fruit isn’t there, the source doesn’t matter.
The Most Dangerous Voices Don’t Look Dangerous
Here’s the part most people miss: wolves don’t show up looking like wolves. They show up dressed like leaders. Like mentors. Like “successful” people.
They overpromise. They underdeliver. They push shortcuts. They avoid accountability. They build followings instead of foundations.
And if you’re not paying attention, you’ll follow them straight into confusion, debt, burnout, or compromise.
Good Branding Doesn’t Equal Good Roots
Let me say this clearly: a polished image doesn’t mean a grounded life.
Some people look planted, but they’re just propped up. When the storm hits, they fold. When resistance comes, they disappear. When scrutiny shows up, the cracks are exposed.
Jesus said a good tree can’t produce bad fruit—and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. Eventually, what’s inside always shows up outside.
Discernment Is a Leadership Skill
If you’re serious about success, you’ve got to develop discernment. Not suspicion. Not paranoia. Discernment.
That means you:
Watch patterns, not promises
Measure character, not charisma
Value long-term results over short-term hype
This applies to who you learn from, who you partner with, and who you let speak into your life.
Check Your Own Fruit Too
Now let me flip this on you.
This passage isn’t just about watching others—it’s about checking yourself as well.
What fruit is your life producing right now?
Are you growing or just talking?
Are you disciplined or just motivated?
Are people better because of your influence—or just impressed?
Growth doesn’t happen by accident. Fruit takes time, consistency, and roots.
Here’s the Bottom Line
Not everything that sounds good is good.
Not every voice deserves your attention.
Not every path leads where you think it does.
So slow down. Look closer. Check the fruit.
Because in business, in faith, and in life—fruit never lies.
Now go build something that lasts.
