What's up, my Greats!
Let me hit you with something real:
Success doesn’t just bring applause. It brings opposition. The moment you start walking in your purpose, don’t be surprised when all hell breaks loose. That’s not a sign you’re off track. That’s often the confirmation that you’re right on time.
Let’s go back to a powerful scene in Scripture.
Jesus is born. The King has come.
But while wise men are bringing gifts, Herod is out here plotting a hit.
“When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.” — Matthew 2:3
Think about that. A baby is born. Pure, innocent, sent by God.. ..and a grown man in power feels so threatened that he orders a slaughter to try and take Him out.
Why? Because purpose always threatens the insecure.
Jesus hadn’t spoken a word. Hadn’t performed a miracle. Hadn’t claimed a throne. But His very existence disturbed the system.
And if you’ve got a real calling on your life, get ready! You will disturb people who’ve been comfortable in their power for too long.
Some folks aren’t mad at you because you’ve done anything wrong. They’re mad because you’re becoming who they never had the courage to be.
Here’s the message for you today:
1. Purpose Will Provoke People
You don’t need to explain your dream to everyone. You don’t owe your vision an apology. Some people will feel threatened simply because you dared to believe in yourself. Let them be disturbed. You’ve got work to do.
2. Divine Direction Will Require Detours
When Herod’s threat came, Joseph was warned in a dream to flee to Egypt. He had to pivot fast to protect the purpose he was raising. Entrepreneurs, hear this: not every detour is a delay. Sometimes God reroutes you to save what’s still growing inside of you.
Don’t get frustrated by the closed door or the sudden shift. That might be God protecting your next move.
3. Delay Doesn’t Mean Denial
Jesus didn’t go straight from the manger to the throne. He had to grow, be hidden, be protected. Just because you haven’t seen the full fruit of your vision doesn’t mean it’s not working. The throne is already yours. The world just isn’t ready yet.
4. What’s Meant for You Can’t Be Stopped
Herod had power, soldiers, influence, and he still couldn’t stop what God had already set in motion.
You hear me?
People can lie on you, sabotage you, and doubt you. But they cannot cancel the calling on your life. What God started, He will finish. Your job is to keep showing up, keep building, keep protecting your vision like it’s a newborn baby.
5. Sometimes the Best Strategy is to Stay Quiet and Move Smart
Notice how Joseph didn’t post a status update. He didn’t clap back. He took his family and bounced. Sometimes, the most powerful move you can make is in silence. Real success doesn’t need to be announced. It reveals itself in results.
So here’s the deal...
You might feel like you’re under attack right now. You might feel like everything around you is trying to shut you down, slow you up, or take you out.
But that’s not a curse. It’s a clue!
You’re a threat to average. You’re dangerous to mediocrity. You’re on assignment, and the enemy knows it. So do what Joseph did. Protect your dream. Move in wisdom. Follow the divine direction. And trust that your throne moment is coming.
Stay locked in. You were born for this!
Dare To Be Great.
