What's up, my Greats!
Let me drop a truth bomb: real power isn’t built in public. It’s forged in private.
Too many entrepreneurs are obsessed with showing the world how hard they’re grinding. Every move posted, every win announced, every “hustle” moment broadcasted. But here’s the problem: if your drive is fueled by attention, you’ll burn out fast.
Jesus said it straight in Matthew 6:
“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
Translation? Stop performing. Start building where nobody’s watching.
Let’s break this down:
1. Your Private Discipline Determines Your Public Power
Public success comes from private sacrifice. Everyone wants the stage, the spotlight, the recognition. But very few are willing to do the hidden reps.
Prayer. Planning. Reading. Fasting. Journaling. Studying. Training.
The stuff no one applauds. The grind nobody sees.
That’s the soil where greatness grows.
You can fake the image for a while. But when the heat comes, only those who put in the unseen work stand strong.
2. Stop Living for Applause
Jesus called out the hypocrites who prayed loudly on street corners just to be noticed. Today? That’s the entrepreneur who cares more about likes than legacy.
Look, building in public isn’t bad. But chasing validation is poison. If your whole identity depends on what other people think, you’ll never build anything real.
Focus on purpose, not praise. Results, not recognition. Impact, not image.
3. Fasting = Focus
Jesus also said, when you fast, don’t walk around looking miserable so people know you’re fasting. Translation: stop broadcasting your sacrifice.
Fasting is about cutting distractions, shutting out the noise, and dialing in on what matters most.
As an entrepreneur, that might mean fasting from social media for a week. Or cutting out negativity. Or saying “no” to comfort so you can say “yes” to growth.
The principle is this: remove the junk, sharpen your focus, and watch your clarity skyrocket.
4. Private Work, Public Reward
Here’s the kicker: what you do in secret doesn’t stay secret. God sees it. And in time, the reward shows up publicly.
You don’t need to force it. You don’t need to manipulate it. You just need to keep showing up when no one’s clapping.
Because the reward always comes. But it comes after consistency.
5. Build in Silence, Shine in Season
Stop worrying about being seen. Stop rushing the recognition. Stop trying to “prove” you’re grinding.
Your job? Stay consistent in the secret place.
God’s job? Make sure the fruit shows up in public.
So here’s my challenge:
Close the door. Do the work no one sees. Build the discipline nobody applauds. And trust that the God who sees in secret is already setting up your breakthrough.
You don’t need louder hustle. You need deeper roots.
Now go make it happen.
